Prince George Citizen of the Year Award 2011

In 2011 Darrell Hubbell was nominated for the Prince George Citizen of the Year Award, and on October 21st, he was named the winner. There were four other very deserving finalists this year, so congratulations to Lorne Calder, Ken Pendergast, Matthew Church, and Marvene Layte. Darrell considers this to be a great honour, and is grateful to the Prince George Community Foundation, the Citizen of the Year Committee, to all of the finalists, to his wife and family, and of course to Prince George. This community has an exceptional volunteering spirit and Darrell would encourage you to look for deserving people around you who would make an excellent candidate for the next Citizen of the Year. We also have a collection of some local news articles about the event, which are available in the Articles by or About HDG section.
