The Birth of Our Trademark
Darrell Hubbell first contemplated creating a trademark and a logo when he was preparing to open his business. Because his intent was to create truly original pieces by hand, he needed something that symbolized his goal. Darrell started with a circle, which is universally used to represent infinity as it has no beginning and no end. He then chose the triangle, which symbolizes creation. What could be simpler or more appropriate - a trademark that represents infinite creation.
The Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths logo has one more symbol, a free form hand to complete the expression of purpose - infinite creation by hand. Our trademark and logo have helped to keep the business headed in the right direction in all the years since the store was first opened in 1984. That goal remains the same today, with originality in each and every piece we make.
